Christophe Mouton built his career through five years in industry (Philips,
Matsushita and Beaulieu) followed by fifteen years in hospital management at UZ
Leuven, the Jan Yperman Hospital and AZ St. Lucas Ghent. He is currently the Chief
Executive Officer of Maria Middelares in Ghent.
In this role, he focuses on the major transitions in healthcare, including digital
transformation, innovation and patient experience. He emphasises supportive
leadership, aiming to engage all staff members in delivering safe, highquality and
patientcentred care, while developing strategic collaborations with other healthcare
provider and grow as a financially healthy and sustainable organisations.
He serves on the boards of CoZo (Collaboratief Zorgplatform), Levilo Health, Imelda
Hospital and AZ Zeno (acute care), vzw Berm (psychiatric care), De Lindeboom and
Den Olm (elderly care), and the Belgian Association of Hospital Managers
(BVZD/BAHM). His areas of expertise include financial and operational management
in healthcare, patient experience, healthcare innovation and supportive leadership.
