Dr. Sohail Khan currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Aria Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) in Quetta, Balochistan. Under his leadership, and in less than two years since treating its first patient, AIMS has rapidly grown to become the largest and busiest private healthcare facility in the province. Offering a comprehensive range of services—including renal transplantation, cardiac care, orthopedics, neurosurgery, urology, oncology, women and child health, and all major medical specialties—AIMS has achieved exceptional and unprecedented growth in an impressively short period. AIMS now operates eight outreach centers across Balochistan, reflecting a strong commitment to both vertical and horizontal expansion. It is also the only healthcare facility in the province to attain both SAFECARE and ISO certifications, affirming its adherence to international healthcare quality and safety standards. Previously, Dr. Khan served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) in Pakistan—a network comprising 10 cardiac hospitals and 24 chest pain units, making it one of the largest cardiac care systems in the world. Before returning to Pakistan in 2021, Dr. Khan practiced as a busy interventional cardiologist in the United States for 18 years. He also holds a Master’s degree in Healthcare Management (MHCM) from Harvard University.
