Rasmus Møgelvang is a physician and a medical specialist in cardiology, and he has a PhD from the University of Copenhagen.
In 2014, Rasmus Møgelvang became a consultant at the Department of Cardiology at Rigshospitalet. In 2017, he became a senior consultant and then Head of the Cardiac Imaging Section, specialising in cardiological image analysis.
Research has played a major role in Rasmus Møgelvang’s work. In 2009, he earned his PhD at the University of Copenhagen and he was then attached to the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences as a research associate professor. In 2018, Rasmus Møgelvang became a professor in cardiology at the University of Southern Denmark, and in 2019, he was affiliated to the University of Copenhagen as a clinical associate professor.
Rasmus Møgelvang moved from the clinic to management in 2019, when he was appointed as the Centre Director of the Heart Centre at Rigshospitalet. In 2021, he was appointed as the Deputy Chief Executive of the hospital. He took over as Chief Executive on 1 January 2023.
